Ever since Eastern Europe opened up to tourism in the 90s, one destination, more than any other, has captured the interest and investment of wealthy tourists. Its Prague.

With picturesque architecture, great restaurants and cafes, and a glut of accommodation options to suit almost every budget, its no wonder the Czech capital is such a perennial favorite. But where should you go to get the most out of your stay? Those with a mind for history should definitely start with the centuries-old Prague Castle. As it has been repeatedly rebuilt and added to by its various inhabitants, it is now the largest castle complex anywhere in the world. The site includes palaces, a cathedral, several halls, and a few museums.

After that, you should stroll by the Vltava River to get a great view of the entire city. When you feel like stopping for a rest, theres no better place to go than the well-ordered and beautifully maintained gardens outside the 400-year-old Wallenstein Palace.

For food and drink, head over to the incredible, cubist House of the Black Madonna. On the first floor, youll find the Grand Cafe Orient, which is notable for the fact that it has the worlds only surviving cubist interior.
