"台北大稻埕煙火節激起浪漫火花"

一年一度的煙火節預計將比去年更加精采可期。

邁入第九個年頭，台北大稻埕煙火節即將在八月十日舉行，為煙火節三天後的七夕情人節營造出浪漫氛圍。這個活動將於延平河濱公園和大稻埕碼頭舉行，預估將有40萬人次參加。

有別於去年，今年的煙火秀將結合台北市立交響樂團附設管樂團的現場古典音樂表演。煙火秀將於晚上八點半開始，時長20分鐘，將施放七千發煙火。開場為五分鐘的忠孝橋彩虹七色煙火瀑布，接著會有最浪漫的「情人雨」煙火，和三吋花束形狀的特製煙火。郝龍斌市長說他希望今年的煙火節將會比去年辦得更好。

考量到民眾安全，台北市警察局將在周圍地區實施交通管制。觀光傳播局也建議民眾不要開車，改搭乘大眾交通工具。

(Culture) Taipei Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival to Create Romantic Sparks

The annual fireworks festival is expected to be more glamorous than last year.

Entering its ninth year, the Taipei Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival is due to take place on August 10th, setting up the romantic atmosphere for Chinese Valentines Day, which comes just 3 days after. The event will be held at the Yanping Riverside Park and Dadaocheng Wharf and is expected to be attended by 400,000 people.

Different from last year, this years fireworks display will incorporate live classical music by Taipei Symphonic Winds. The show will start at 8:30pm, lasting 20 minutes with 7000 shots being lit. It will open with a 5-minute rainbow-colored fireworks waterfall at the Zhongxiao Bridge, followed by the most romantic Lovers Rain fireworks and 3-inch bouquet-shaped fireworks, which have been specially made. Mayor Hau Lung-bin says he hopes this years festival will be a step-up from last year.

In consideration of the publics safety, the Taipei City Police Department will be implementing traffic control measures in the surrounding area. The Department of Information and Tourism also advises that people take public transportation instead of driving.
