"可穿戴式科技引來對Computex的關注"

在台灣台北舉辦的貿易展上，預期所有人的目光將會鎖定可穿戴式科技。六月的到來，就表示亞洲最大的科技展Computex又要登場了。今年，很多人都把注意力放在可穿戴式電腦上，這是消費電子產品的下一個重大領域。蘋果智慧型手錶的謠言不斷和谷歌眼鏡的炒作，也引起人們對於可穿戴式科技很大的期待，並替比較鮮為人知的公司開啟大契機。

其中一家決定開發可穿戴式科技領域的製造商是南北星股份有限公司。這家台灣的公司希望能在貿易展上，用他們的新手錶吸引愛運動的消費者，手錶功能包括找尋範圍、運動距離、卡路里消耗紀錄等服務。另一個將在Computex展出的可穿戴式科技是神念科技公司的腦立方移動耳機。這個會讀腦波的裝置，讓使用者能夠用他們的大腦控制電腦或手機。

儘管對於可穿戴式科技有許多討論，分析師說，它們的未來將取決於是否能迎合消費者需求。另一方面，蘋果執行長提姆庫克預測，將會有「眾多公司角逐」於可穿戴式科技領域。

(Technology) Wearable Computing to Draw Attention at Computex

It is expected that all eyes will be set on the wearable technologies at the five-day trade show held in Taipei, Taiwan. The arrival of June means that Computex, Asias biggest tech fair, is here again. This year, much attention has been placed on wearable computing, the next great frontier in consumer electronics. The ongoing rumors surrounding Apples smart watch as well as the Google Glass hype have generated a great deal of excitement over wearable technologies and opened up vast opportunities for lesser known companies.

One of the manufacturers who have decided to tap into the field of wearable computing is Sonostar Inc. The Taiwan-based company is hoping to attract athletic consumers at the trade show with its new watch, which features services such as range-finding and distance traveled and calories consumed recording. Another wearable to be showcased at Computex is Neuroskys MindWave Mobile headset. The brainwave reading device allows users to control their computers or phones with their brain.

In spite of the buzz over wearable technologies, analysts say their future will depend on whether they fit the needs of consumers. Meanwhile, Apple chief Tim Cook projected that there will be tons of companies playing in the wearable computing sector.
