中國的主要旅遊景點在最近的國慶假期間擠滿了遊客。觀察者提出,問題來自於假期延長,和一般的高速公路收費站暫停收費。數百萬人橫越國內旅遊,使道路車輛數目估計增加13%,也使許多熱門重要景點感受到這股緊繃情勢。

Observers suggest the problems were caused by the fact that the holiday was extended and that regular highway tolls were temporarily dropped.Millions of people made trips across the country, pushing the number of cars on the roads up by a predicted 13%, and it resulted in tensions being felt at many popular tourist locations.
Beijings Forbidden City was one of the most visited destinations, and on October 2 alone, it received 180,000 visitors V six times more people than it usually gets during holidays.As a result, those who did get inside were unhappy with their experience. One vacationer said: We saw absolutely nothing but people's heads. We wanted our 11-year-old son to learn something from the trip, but we only ended up exhausted.
At Shaanxi Provinces Huashan Mountain, an overburdened cable car system left many people stuck on top of the mountain until well after nightfall.Similar stories have been reported from around the country, and officials have called on the government to adjust its system of holiday planning to ensure things like this dont happen again.
