(International) Ukraine Condemns SpongeBob and Teletubbies

Ukraine has called for a ban on some of the most popular kids cartoons and TV shows as they are believed to be a bad influence on children, with the potential of turning them into criminals and perverts.

The countrys morality commission has accused Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants of promoting homosexuality, for Spongebob often holds hands with his friend Patrick. They also fired at British childrens show Teletubbies for promoting drug use and creating imbeciles who will sit near the screen with an open mouth and swallow any information. Some of the other cartoons under attack include Family Guy, Pokemon and The Simpsons, which were perceived to be projects aimed at the destruction of the family.

In response, Stephen Hillenburg, creator of SpongeBob Squarepants, defended his creation, saying, I always think of him as being somewhat asexual, adding, Everybody is different, and the show embraces that. The character SpongeBob is an oddball. He's kind of weird, but he's kind of special.
