上週日，洋基王牌投手沙巴西亞投出淒涼的第七局，球隊因而陷入連續第二場失敗，以5-2敗給辛辛那提紅人隊。沙巴西亞那天開始表現不錯，紅人隊六局都一分未得。接著在第三半場，他送出兩支全壘打，保送了三名打者，為辛辛那提送上另一分。

They were beaten 5-2 by the Cincinnati Reds.

On Sunday, the Yankees ace pitcher C.C. Sabathia had a dismal seventh inning, and the team slipped to its second straight loss, going down 5-2 against the Cincinnati Reds. Sabathia started the day well, and the Reds were scoreless for six innings. Then in the third, he gave up two home runs and walked three batters to give Cincinnati another run.

Despite Sabathias wild seventh inning, Yankees manager Joe Girardi was not unhappy with his starting pitcher. He didnt get wild until the last inning. He was pretty darned good before that. I wouldnt make too much of it. Catcher Chris Stewart agreed, commenting: A guy is not going to strike everybody out without walking anybody. Hes not going to be perfect. Unfortunately, everything just happened in that one inning.

After the loss, the Yankees were left one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox at the bottom of the American League East. Worryingly, the team has not recorded more than two runs in four of its last six games. New York will be hoping that Mark Teixeira recovers from his cough quickly to give the team more offensive muscle.
