"NBA為練習大開門禁"

美國國家籃球協會在上週宣布球團場地自十二月一日起可供自主練習使用。這項進展是在勞資雙方達成共識結束酬勞爭議才出現的。該臨時性協定於上週達成，每人都迫不及待欲重返球壇。

由於勞資雙方於談判新的薪資條件時陷入困境，球團老闆在今年六月份對旗下球員發出禁令。依舊約規定，球員可得到特許經銷權收益57%。老闆們爭辯這比例實在太高，並抱怨其中有許多人已經賠錢好多年了。依照新的費用協定，球員將會與老闆五五分帳。

今年的NBA球季將會於聖誕節舉行，將近十一月一日預定賽程的兩個月後。球員將於十二月九日進入訓練營，而且相較於以往的82場賽程，本季僅有66場。季賽一度可能被全數取消，因此籃球迷相當樂見於爭辯結束。

Americas National Basketball Association announced last week that teams would be able to open their doors for voluntary training sessions on December 1.The development came after players and franchise owners reached an agreement to end their pay dispute. The provisional deal was reached one week previously, and everyone will be keen to get back to the business of basketball.

Team owners locked out their players in June this year as the two groups struggled to negotiate a new pay deal. Under the old deal, the players had received 57% of franchise revenue. The owners argued that this was too much and complained that many of them had been losing money for years. Under the terms of the new deal, revenue will be split almost 50-50 between the players and owners.

This years NBA season will now begin on Christmas Day, almost two months after the scheduled start on November 1. Players will gather for training camps on December 9, and teams will play 66 games this season instead of the usual 82. Basketball fans will have welcomed the end of the dispute, as it was once looking possible that the entire season might be canceled.
