Lana Peters, the only daughter and last remaining child of Soviet ruler Josef Stalin, has passed away at the age of 85.She had been living in the state of Wisconsin in the USA, and had been suffering from colon cancer, which she finally succumbed to on November 22.She famously defected to the United States during the Cold War, causing great commotion in both the Communist and Capitalist world.She wrote several books about her time in Soviet Russia, and was an important figure in the struggle during the war where no shots were fired.

Nikita: Apparently she was studying abroad, then went to the US Embassy and told them who she was, and that she wanted to live in the US, and not her father's Soviet Russia.

Joseph: That must have been a hard decision. How did the rest of her family take it

Nikita: It doesn't really say much about her mother. But her father was obviously furious, and she didn't really speak to her brothers after that.

Joseph: Wow, that must have been very difficult, living between two worlds like that. I would have liked to meet her.
